A growing number of companies use RFID tags and dedicated reading devices these days. Since the technology helps them to reduce failure rates while boosting productivity, we designed the RF800 UHF Gungrip.

The RF800 reader module can interrogate tags from distances of up to 7 meters, making it suitable for inventory management, retail, production, logistics and warehouse management. In combination with the PM80, which can be easily mounted on the RF800, you'll get a powerful device that displays collected data in real time. The users can process the data immediately while connected to LTE or Wi-Fi. 

The compact dimensions and the weight of only 300g underline the ergonomic design, as well as the status LEDs that keep the user informed about charging and data communication. We have placed the balance point in the reader's pistol grip, enabling the weight to be distributed evenly. That way, the trigger button can be easily accessed anytime. The RF800 can withstand multiple drops from 1.5m to concrete. 

A software developer's kit includes a variety of program samples and libraries supporting the integration of the RFID module in customer applications. The new RF800 can be used with the Android 6 version of PM80 only.
