PM5: support for Windows PC

PM5 now officially supports Windows operating system

PM5 works with Windows PC now

Point Mobile’s Bluetooth ring scanner, PM5, now officially supports Windows PC. By using HID mode, data captured by PM5’s scanner can be send to Windows PC without installing any additional application. Point Mobile is also planning to distribute a new Windows SDK that enables the Bluetooth scanner to connect to Windows PC through SPP mode, which makes it possible for users to alter the settings of PM5 on their PCs. Adding Windows as a supported operating system further extends the usability of PM5, which was previously limited to Android-based Point Mobile devices only.

The light device can be used by both left- and right-handed people by simply turning the bottom piece in the opposite direction. It comes with a 500mAh battery as standard, and there is an extended version with 710mAh available. For more flexibility, an optional bracket with a lanyard and USB-C port turns PM5 into a standalone scanner.
