Korea Post: Point Mobile devices are to be used national post & parcel operation

Korea Post choses Point Mobile devices

Korea Post: Point Mobile wins $2.6 million contract to supply devices for national post & parcel operation

Korea Post chose Point Mobile's mobile computers for its nationwide post and parcel service. Point Mobile, through its partner KI&T - the system integrator who managed the project - agreed to provide more than 4,000 mobile computers from this October.

The PM90 that won the project has a high-end scan engine with Global Shutter technology and ergonomic design providing an optimal scan angle - reducing wrist injury and fatigue of the post workers. The device went through US military standard drop tests and can operate in temperatures from -20oC to 60oC.

Korea Post is the national postal service of South Korea, under the Ministry of Science and ICT. The headquarters are located in Sejong City: the de facto administrative capital of the country.

Point Mobile is already the biggest supplier of the market for enterprise mobile computers in South Korea, and by closing this deal as well as the $3.6 million contract with Korea Yakult earlier this year, the company is set to dominate the domestic market even further.
